Community and Sponsorship

We are highly involved in sports sponsorships and generally supporting the community.
Our activities range from;

  • Sponsors of Cure Kids;
  • Assisting team building initiatives and sporting interests of our staff;
  • Mid-level funding of budding and full time sports professionals;
  • Sponsoring community sports events;
  • Donating services to charity auctions;
  • Supporting community groups;
  • Sponsors of the Targa Rally.


We list a range of recent activities below:

We have a ‘soft spot’ for motor racing and sponsor two Porsche race cars; one in the GT1 track series (open class cars) and another in the popular Targa road rallies around New Zealand, as well as being a major sponsor to the overall event.

We sponsored the final round of the NZ Offshore Powerboat Association in the Auckland harbour on 8th May 2010. The series has just returned to Auckland following an absence of three years and the sight of thirty odd boats racing under the harbour bridge was a thrilling experience.

Proud sponsors of Cure Kids: When Global Security started their search of a charity to align themselves with, one of the criteria was that being a New Zealand owned and operated company, we wanted to “keep it local”.  We protect kiwis and their homes and businesses.  We wanted our involvement with a charity to be an extension of that ethos.

A number of our staff and clients compete in multidiscipline events. In March 2010, we sponsored a team in Rotorua for the Xterra event.

In January 2010, Global Security donated 50 hours of staff time to collect donations for NZ Surf Life Saving. This was a very enjoyable experience for our team. We have committed to continuing this on an ongoing basis.
